Something interesting to think about: Conservatives complain the most about the newsmedia, the educational system, and the entertainment industry as being too liberal and/or left wing.

Sometimes, I am proud of my fellow Americans. Standing in front of the offices of Caterpillar Executive Gail Fosler, it occurred to me that we are not a nation of home wreckers. Quite the contrary, the executives walking by, the administrative assistants, the secretaries, the delivery men, the motorists, bus drivers, and passengers, all wore expressions of deep concern, as they perused the enlarged photographs of Caterpillar bulldozers demolishing Palestinian civilian homes.
Take heed Caterpillar: this campaign has legs. You can’t bulldoze the truth. The photographs speak volumes, and they evoke universal horror in all but the most hardened hearts. It cuts to the core of what it means to be human. Indeed, the need for shelter and safety forms the base of Maslow’s hierarchy of human needs. People get it on a gut level. They empathize.
In my opinion, a corporation should be more concerned, and less reckless with its image.
This is not to say that there were not detractors. There was one kid, looked about 18, driving a pedacab. He stopped to wish us ill. Yelled something about terrorism. I felt bad for the kid, bad that he has bought the lies his parents and the other adults in his life have foisted upon his impressionable young mind.
